Please make arrangements to take a pre-close backup of your database.
Hosted Clients
- Please contact to us via our eForum Support Portal at least ONE WEEK before you are ready to close the year so we can make arrangements to take a pre-close backup of your database once the year-end reconciliation is complete. Please note that if you have more than one company set up in your database ALL ACTIVE COMPANIES will need to have the Year End Process completed at the same time.
- We will let you know a date & time during the business day when our tech support team can create the year end back up procedures, close the year and retain the backup copies for the prior four years. It is recommended that you confirm the date at least 48 hours before the pre-close.
💡
Hosted clients needing access to a read only prior year database in the hosted environment will require approval of a quote to setup the prior year database(s) and to host it on our Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. Contact us for pricing.
Non-Hosted Clients
- Please contact your internal or consulting technical support team in advance to coordinate scheduling a pre-close backup of your database once the year-end reconciliation is complete. Indicate whether you want this year-end database copy accessible from e·silentpartner or simply archived for future reference.
- Then share the following Oracle Databases Instructions and links with your technical support team so they may review the steps in advance:
- To create the year-end backup: Exporting and Re-Importing Oracle User Schema
- make the year-end database copy accessible from e·silentpartner: Configure Multiple Database Accessibility
- Post-close Processing Steps for Non-hosted clients detailed in a section below.
- Alternatively, please add an eForum issue if you would like to request a quote for our e·silentpartner technical support team to connect to your database, create the backup and close the year. Indicate whether you want this year-end database copy accessible or simply archived for future reference.
