Year-End Closing Preparation
  1. Make sure all pending time charges from the prior year are approved and all client and vendor invoices are posted for the prior year (i.e. in 2019 all 2018 prior year time charges are approved and prior year invoices posted).
  2. Print the following reports prior to closing: period 12 balance sheets; income statements; and AR, On Account Payments, AP, Advance Billings, WIP, and Accrued Media Sub ledgers and the same Next Year Period 1 Sub ledgers and Trial Balance.
  3. There may also be other reports you want to print for your year-end close file – it really depends on which reports you want to be able to refer back to.
