There are several ways to track estimates vs. actuals
At the Job Start window

The red arrow indicates a snapshot of real time financial activity including:
Estimate: – The master estimate
Actual: – Actual expenses incurred to date including Purchase Order (PO) obligations
Remaining: – The difference between the Budget and Actual
Open PO’s: The $ amount of Open Purchase Orders with a link to the actual PO’s
Billed: The $ amount of actual charges billed
Adv Billed: The $ amount of advanced billings
Gross Income: The amount billed minus any vouchered charges
Spent: The total costs (from time sheets, internal charges, vendor invoices), which have been billed to this Job thus far.
Vouchered: The total amount of vendor invoices which have been billed to this Job but have not yet been posted to the general ledger.
Unbilled: Accrued charges that have not been billed.
Hold: Charges that have been placed on hold.
Due: The amount due in accounts receivable.

From the job reports
There is a useful Estimate report at the job level. To access it, from the job# menu select Reports > Profit.
Select the Profit (Fee vs. OOP) radio button. The select your Sort By: option and click Print.

This report provides a real time chart on where you stand against the estimate. See Legend at bottom for header descriptions.
From the ‘My Jobs’ Sidebar

To see a quick synopsis of where you stand against an estimate, go to your ‘My Jobs’ sidebar. If you have developed a Master Estimate, you will see a colorful flag in the far right column showing you the project’s percentage completion or burn rate.
