Blogs is a popular communication tool feature in e·silentpartner. They are messages, or communication threads, that can be sent from different sections in the system (like from the Job’s main window, or from a specific task). Blogs are easily recognizable thanks to the messaging icon seen throughout the application.

  • Blog icons in Gray mean that no blog has been initiated
  • Blog icons in Blue mean that one topic has been initiated
  • Blog icons in Green mean that multiple topics have been initiated

By using blogs, you will be able to communicate with any member in your company, also with contacts or vendors. The communication thread will be stored and linked to a specific job or task, considerably reducing the amount of time needed to find exchanged information by more traditional ways (like email). An optional feature allows you to send and receive blog responses via email.

Starting and responding to blogs

To review and/or add a new blog, click on Job # > Communication > Blogs. This window will present you, by default, with any existing blog thread for that specific job.

The left-hand column contains all of the blog topics. Click on a topic and you will see the blog responses displayed on the right-hand column. Click on the Screenshot 2024-04-22 165724.pngicon to reply to the blog. It’s that easy!

If you wish to create an entirely new blog thread/topic, click the Green + icon on the top right of the window. A modal box like this will open.

  1. Select your recipients (including job team members, vendors and/or client contacts) then enter a Topic.
  2. Decide what job folder you want your files attached to.
  3. Attach up to three files to every message sent.
  4. Compose, format and send your message.
💡
By default, the ‘Send email’ option will be checked. Uncheck it if you wish to simply create a blog thread message without sending it via email simultaneously.
💡
With the proper security, blogs can also be deleted by clicking the red minus icon.
